Maintenance

The regular maintenance of CCTV systems ensures that the systems are functioning optimally and that the images recorded and stored are suitable for the purpose and of high quality for use as evidence. Preventive maintenance is an essential part of ensuring continuous surveillance and helps to deter break-in, theft and the overall security of the area.

A system's age and quality will determine the frequency of preventive maintenance. For an older system, we would usually recommend maintenance to be carried out every three months to ensure that everything is working as expected. A newer system in its prime condition can be inspected once every year.
